The School of Community Health & Midwifery within the Faculty of Health & Wellbeing provides, amongst others, programmes in Community Nursing, Midwifery, Counselling and Health & Social Care.
An opportunity has arisen within the Family, Community and Public Health academic team, in the School of Community Health and Midwifery, for a Lecturer to contribute to the Community Specialist Practitioner District Nursing programme as well as other community and public health focussed modules across the School. Applicants must hold a Community Specialist Practitioner qualification in District Nursing / Nursing in the Home, a prescribing qualification (V300, V150 or V100) and have recent clinical experience and competence in leg ulcer management including doppler and dopplex scanning and compression therapy. A sound understanding of the current District Nursing and UK Public Health agenda is essential. Contribution to other programmes (where appropriate) will be expected.
Applicants must have experience of supporting and teaching students, preferably in a higher education setting and possess strong organisational and leadership skills. A Practice Teacher qualification is desirable but not essential. Applicants must have a minimum of a First Degree.
