Postdoctoral Researcher (Hybrid Nanophotonics and Optoelectronics)
POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER (HYBRID NANOPHOTONICS AND OPTOELECTRONICS)
Job Category: Research
Unit: Laboratory of Hybrid Nanophotonics and Optoelectronics
Academic disciplines Physics & Astronomy
ITMO University’s Laboratory of Hybrid Nanophotonics and Optoelectronics (PeroLab), headed by Prof. Anvar Zakhidov, is looking for a postdoctoral researcher.
PeroLab is a team of young forward-thinkers, led by renowned scientists, working in close collaboration with some of the world’s leading research centers in the USA, Australia, Hong Kong, France, and the UK. PeroLab researchers expand the boundaries of nanophotonics in order to open new fundamental principles of light-matter interaction at the nanoscale.
Responsibilities: The candidate will model novel nanophotonic designs using halide perovskites and other optical materials. Candidates are expected to have experience both in analytical and numerical modeling and be able to work in an interdisciplinary international team of engineers, theoreticians, and experimentalists.
By the end of the postdoctoral training, researchers are expected to continue their independent research career.
- a recent PhD degree (obtained within the last five years);
- at least two Scopus/Web of Science publications over the last year.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis; interviews will be conducted via Skype.
