The Role & Your Responsibilities
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our dedicated team for a maternity leave contract until September 2019.
You will be responsible for providing outstanding care to all children to ensure their physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs are met. You will also assist with planning, implementing and evaluating developmentally appropriate programs for children in conjunction with other staff. Strong communication skills are ideal, to support you in building and maintaining close relationships with parents/guardians of the children in the Centre.
High quality care is fundamental to our Centre, therefore you must be familiar with the Children's Services Act 1996, Children's Services regulations 2009, The National Quality framework (NQF), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Victorian Early Years Learning and Development (VELYLD) and the Centre's philosophy and mission statements.
Skills & Experience Required
You can demonstrate the ability to work co-operatively and contribute to a supportive team environment. You are flexible and happy to work within a variety of rooms according to the needs of the Centre. You will also have significant experience in developing and undertaking programme planning ideally in a long day care setting.
To be successful, you must have anaphylaxis and asthma training, a current Level II First Aid Certificate, including CPR and hold at least a Certificate III or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA) in Early Childhood Education.
