  • Salary Package: HEW Level 7 – 92,143 to $99,903 plus 9.5% superannuation and annual leave loading
  • Appointment Type: Full time, fixed term contract to 31 December 2019.

The Role

We are seeking a full time Business and Administration Officer to join the Centre for Emotional Health. Working closely with the Centre Director, in this standalone role you will identify business opportunities, contribute to the Centre’s strategic business plan and promote the Centre’s activities (including the Cool Kids program, an internationally renowned treatment for children and adolescents with anxiety disorders).

A key responsibility is developing, coordinating and promoting the centre’s programs and events for the ongoing growth of the Centre (e.g., look for growth opportunities, understand industry trends and their implications, make recommendations for appropriate service positioning and be able to negotiate with stakeholders.) Other activities include contract management (including international clients), meeting coordination, minute taking, liaising with finance team and account management.

About You

You have a background in marketing, communication and/or event management and a good head for business. You can identify new business opportunities and use your proven ability to build strong relationships to get the deal done. You are innovative, always thinking up new ways to generate interest and grow business. You are organised and love planning events and activities.

  • Demonstrated skill and experience developing and implementing marketing plans and initiatives;
  • Strong project management skills;

This position requires you to comply with occupational screening, assessment and vaccinations in line with Macquarie University health requirements and requires a current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for NSW. You may also have to satisfy Macquarie University that you meet all background checks (including criminal record and qualification checks).
