The University seeks to appoint a new Registrar and University Secretary to provide strategic and operational leadership to support its growth and the partnerships that underpin them, as well as delivering a highly professional service to students and colleagues. Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor and working closely with the Chair of the Board of Governors, this position is a member of the University’s executive group and plays a significant leadership role across the wider institution. The Registrar and University Secretary will lead the University’s educational, student and governance services. The Registrar and University Secretary will have specific responsibility for Academic Registry and Services, Careers and Employability, Governance, Learning Resources, Legal, Library, Planning, Quality and Standards, and Student Experience.
The successful candidate will be an accomplished operational leader, with experience of shaping modern, cost-effective and service-orientated operations within large and complex organisations. They will have significant change-management experience and the ability to lead and motivate a service-focused team. The Registrar and University Secretary will be able to demonstrate a commitment to the University of Bedfordshire and its values, mission and identity.
