The discipline of Psychology is changing at JCU. A new era in education, research and professional development is unfolding and we are looking for dedicated, collegial professionals to join us on our journey.

We now offer an exciting opportunity for a Professor, Psychology on a continuing, full-time basis at the Townsville campus.

Reinvigorating JCU Psychology over the next three years, we will embrace rigorous scholarship to advance and deepen our knowledge of how changing contexts, new research, and evolving technologies are shaping mental health services in the community.  Delivering high quality teaching and learning programs in a research-rich environment, our aim is to bring people together through powerful learning opportunities, to share ideas, create new knowledge, and foster expertise.

About You

As a research-focussed academic, you will deliver upon our ambitious yet considered research agenda and contribute to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum.  Your strong research record and teaching expertise will inspire your colleagues and students lifting the level of collaboration and outputs for the University. 

Your proven ability to attract research grants and collaborate internationally, together with a focus on improving life in the tropics world-wide will see you contributing to the realisation of the College of Healthcare Science’s strategic agenda.
