ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT IISloan School of Management-Management Science (MSA), to perform complex and diverse duties for faculty and the academic area. Will schedule diverse and complex appointments and meetings; make travel arrangements and prepare complex itineraries; provide administrative support for multiple programs and projects; triage clients and visitors; use broad understanding of policies and procedures to respond to inquiries, provide explanations and instructions, and ensure inquiries are addressed and resolved; compose and edit internal correspondence and documents; resolve complex problems in a thorough and timely manner; design PowerPoint presentations; use desktop publishing for creating drafts of work area publications; coordinate complex mass mailings; input, update, and maintain Web content; monitor and order inventory, working within established supply budgets; maintain databases; research and gather information for complex projects; coordinate high-profile events and seminars; assist with the preparation of materials such as grant proposals, tenure cases, and site visits; monitor and reconcile accounting statements; prepare and process purchasing, accounting, and travel forms; attend high-level meetings and record minutes; train others regarding policies and procedures; serve as liaison between faculty and other groups; and perform related duties as requested. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  three years of administrative, office, or related experience; advanced computer software skills; ability to easily negotiate the web; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; initiative; flexibility and openness to change; ability to anticipate and prioritize effectively; and a proactive approach to projects, problem solving, communication needs, and planning. Must demonstrate good judgment, discretion, diplomacy, and the ability to own and follow through on tasks. Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Job #16707-5
