IT SUPPORT SPECIALISTInformation Systems & Technology (IS&T), to be responsible for a range of applications, services, and solutions to support both customers and IS&T. Will provide proactive and effective technical support to a diverse customer base, delivering solutions to technical and non-technical end-users through a variety of channels while also supporting a wide range of technology and services; be customer-focused and work to increase customer satisfaction, deepen client relationships, inform/empower clients, engage with partner teams, and effectively manage expectations to a broad base of customers; and support, maintenance, and guidance for simple to moderately complex client products.  May work on one or more projects as a team member.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: a minimum of one year of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree or at least five years of relevant experience without a bachelor’s degree; experience supporting Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android platforms; experience supporting the diagnosis and resolution of problems across software, hardware, and managed service lines; ability to learn and understand customized software solutions to provide advanced support; experience with common IT ticketing platforms, preferably ServiceNow; ability to be flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced environment; diagnostic skills and working knowledge of current technology to resolve escalated customer complaints; and strong oral and written communication skills for supporting transactional activities.  Experience with Linux (e.g., Ubuntu, Solaris, etc.) and ITIL and Agile practices and methodologies preferred.  Experience in higher education is also preferred.  Job #16708-O
