Position Focus:

Reporting to the Senior Associate Dean of Yale College/Dean of International and Professional Experience, lead CIPE-wide data management and analysis, lead CIPE operations, collaborate with other members of the leadership team to advance innovative strategies for the CIPE, and provide oversight and management for special projects and initiatives.

Essential Duties

  1. Directs, monitors, and assesses needs and directs the application of resources of an administrative University office dealing with one or more major functional areas.
  2. Directs and implements solutions to problems that are routine to complex in nature and that affect multiple functional areas of responsibility.
  3. Plans and/or participates in planning University activities on a long-term basis to comply with University goals and objectives.
  4. Establishes and implements consistent university-wide policies in multiple functional areas of responsibility.
  5. Ensures that University office policies and procedures are in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.
  6. Develops and monitors goals and objectives for managerial and professional staff in compliance with University strategies.
  7. Directs a staff of exempt and non-exempt employees.
  8. May perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in related field and six years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Required Skill/Ability 1:

Demonstrated ability to work with data sets and use analysis to create innovative and useful improvements in a work environment, and to produce excellent visualizations of data and to create print and online materials of the highest quality. Statistical analysis skills: knowledge of statistical software, e.g. SAS, R, SPSS, STATA, or MATLAB.

Required Skill/Ability 2:

Demonstrated an interest in and understanding of tools for gathering qualitative and quantitative data related to educational and career experience, including all aspects of international experience.

Required Skill/Ability 3:

Proven interpersonal communication skills with ability to communicate to non-technical audiences. The ability to work as a strong team member in an exceptionally collaborative environment while being proactive and independent in problem solving.

Required Skill/Ability 4:

Demonstrated an understanding of an educational environment where student development and global engagement are prioritized, and the ability to engage effectively with students and faculty.

Required Skill/Ability 5:

Proven ability to work in an environment where there are competing demands and frequent deadlines. Ability to react to changing situations and adapt to changes in work demands, priorities, and procedures exercising good judgment, seeking alternatives and creative solutions.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:

Master's Degree strongly preferred and higher education experience. International experience or experience in working across cultures.
