Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Social Work and Social Administration

Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration, to commence on August 1, 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree with a strong record of teaching, research and publications. Preference will be given to those with expertise in family social work, youth work, community work and social policy, and with five years of direct practice experience. Those with expertise in other areas of social work practice and social administration are also welcome to apply. The appointee will be responsible for teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and is expected to be active in research and educational innovations. A highly competitive salary commensurate with the appointee's qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
