Job description

The University of Central Lancashire wishes to recruit an Administrative Assistant to work as part of the busy the Cash & Accounts Payable team to fulfil a multi-functional role.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in a busy customer orientated financial services environment, with the ability to work in line with financial regulations and department practices and procedures.

Use of computer based system and Microsoft Office applications is essential as is a working knowledge of finance practices and procedures.

The successful applicant will be working as part of the Cash & Accounts Payable team providing a wide range of services to the University's students, customers and staff. Commitment to providing a customer focussed approach is essential.

Utilising excellent organisational and administration skills, the successful applicant will have the ability to prioritise work, work under pressure and meet deadlines. Applicants will be able to participate effectively as a member of a team and be flexible and adaptable in their approach to tasks and the required workload.

The successful applicant will also have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to our customers.
Core opening hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with some flexible working where possible.
