About the team

The Academic Services team is responsible for providing academic administration and support services to a wide range of clients including Heads of School, academic staff and research students across the Faculty. The team is committed to providing a quality outcome with a focus on continuous improvement.

The Technical team is responsible for the safe delivery of technical services and support for teaching and research to the academic staff of the faculties. The team provides a wide array of specific technical support, and is responsible for the development and implementation of safe systems of work in laboratory spaces. 

About the opportunity

You will take a significant role in managing the academic services and technical teams for the Faculty, ensuring adequate ongoing training, career progression, succession and development and providing key operational planning and direction. You will have a significant role in establishing and influencing policies, procedures and processes to ensure the efficient functioning of the area, and to ensure the efficient and safe functioning of laboratory and workshop facilities.

About you

To succeed in this role, it is essential that you possess extensive leadership, strategy and administrative support experience. You will also be strongly customer-oriented and possess a track record of successfully driving process improvements. Experience in the Higher Education industry is highly desirable.
