POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE/DATA SCIENTIST, Koch Institute (KI) for Integrative Cancer Research, to join the Birnbaum and Gifford laboratories. Will join a team aiming to combine combinatorial biology and computational approaches to enable the next generation of molecular design. Projects utilize a combination of computational experiment design, protein engineering, and high-throughput approaches to experimental molecular biology and benefit from highly integrative machine learning.  Will primarily be responsible for developing methodology to enable high throughput protein mutagenesis and selection approaches to generate and analyze repertoire-scale protein-protein interaction data with high-throughput sequencing. This work will involve yeast display and may involve other approaches such as phage display or mammalian cell-based systems. The position involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team of molecular biologists, protein engineers, and computer scientists. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  Ph.D. in biochemistry, biological engineering, chemical engineering, molecular biology or a related discipline; and excellent organizational and written and verbal communication skills.  Experience with protein engineering, molecular design, yeast display, yeast biology, and/or yeast genetics strongly preferred.  Job #16687
