Position Summary:

The Flinders University International Centre for Point-of Care Testing is a global leader in point-of-care testing (POCT) and is recognised for expertise in POCT research and teaching encompassing chronic, acute and infectious diseases. The Centre’s research activities have made a significant contribution to increasing access to health care and improving health outcomes, particularly in Indigenous communities and rural and remote settings nationally and internationally.

The HE05/HEO6 position will provide support for two of the Centre’s programs:

  • The QAAMS (Quality Assurance for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Medical Services) Program that provides POCT for diabetes management in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) medical services.
  • The Syphilis POCT Program provides training and quality management services to health professionals for the implementation and management of POCT for syphilis.

The level of supervision provided for this position is general. There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.
