An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Business Development Officer (MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development) to join the Research, Engagement, Development and Innovation (REDI) Business team. Reporting to the REDI Business Development Manager, the Senior Business Development Officer will promote the University’s research and commercial consultancy activities, establish external linkages, identify partnership opportunities and match appropriate resources to deliver on projects and initiatives. The position will have an allocated portfolio of researcher and research groups that the appointee will autonomously support and manage. The successful candidate will support and guide researchers in developing and realising successful industry partnerships. They will also build and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships appropriate to their portfolio. 

To be successful, you will have relevant qualifications and/or experience in business development and project management preferably within the education or research sector. You will have knowledge and/or experience in planning, negotiating and securing commercial and/or research projects. In addition, your strong commercial acumen will make you stand out and will be highly valued by the university. The position will require travel from time to time along with the flexibility of working from multiple campuses as appropriate to the portfolio.

Remuneration Package: Higher Education Worker Level 8 $113,906 to $126,449 p.a. (comprising Salary $96,252 to $106,851 p.a., plus Superannuation, plus Leave Loading)
