The School of Health and Biomedical Sciences comprises three Academic Clusters (Allied Health, Applied Health, and Biomedical Sciences). The Role and Responsibilities
As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, you will make a significant contribution to the teaching, scholarship, research and industry engagement efforts of the School in the field of Clinical Biochemistry. You will provide leadership to the Clinical Biochemistry teaching and research of the Laboratory Medicine Discipline, make significant contributions to the delivery of taught programs and may be responsible for program management. You will be actively involved in the industry and you will nurture and develop significant industry links within the field of Clinical Biochemistry and within the wider diagnostic laboratory community of practice.
Applicants with lesser Clinical Biochemistry experience may be considered for a Lecturer position.
Skills & Experience Required
As the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, you will have demonstrated or have transferable equivalent experience coordinating, preparing and delivering large programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will also have extensive experience in research/scholarship/industry leadership with the ability to build and develop collaborative teams, mentor academic staff to deliver high quality outcomes, attract and secure external research funding/relevant industry links to sustain academic effort and the ability to manage funded projects.
In addition as a Senior Lecturer you will have 8 years' diagnostic laboratory experience and have evidence of engagement with continuing professional development and preferably, a postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical Biochemistry.
