The Discipline of Economics is one of six disciplines in the Faculty of Business and contributes to the aims of the Faculty through vibrant teaching activities in both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, research programs and productive research activity. The faculty’s Economic research focus is in the areas of health economics, labour economics, economics of education, applied microeconometrics, economics growth and small to medium enterprises. Teaching strengths are in undergraduate and postgraduate economics.
This position specialises in macroeconomics with a research concentration in applied macroeconometrics The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding scholarly achievements and contribute to the continued advancement of teaching, governance and research within the faculty. This position will also make a sustained contribution to the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance through active leadership in the economics discipline and policy development at both school and faculty levels.
