About the role
The successful applicant will join an energetic research and learning community, undertaking student centred teaching practice and development in the disciplines of Social Work and Social Welfare. The Senior Lecturer or Lecturer in Social Work will contribute to the development and delivery of the Master of Social Work (Professional Qualifying) and the Bachelor of Social Welfare programs.
The Senior Lecturer / Lecturer in Social Work will contribute to the research and/or scholarship of teaching profile of the School through their publications and undertake relevant engagement and service activities to support the School. The incumbent will also be expected to develop and maintain appropriate links with community, professional and industry bodies.
You will be an energetic academic, ready to commit to the University’s values and priorities, highly engaged and innovative in your approach, and keen to make a contribution to the University and the community through your activities.
To be successful in this role you will hold a relevant post-graduate qualification and have academic and professional experience in Social Work and/or Social Welfare. You will display a student centred approach to your teaching, enjoy applying new and existing technology, have a commitment to reflective teaching practice and capacity and/or experience in blended and online teaching modes. You will have a publication track record, relative to opportunity, with a research profile that aligns with the School’s.
