Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Faculty of Education, to commence on January 1, 2019 for one year.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Educational Measurement, Psychometrics, Quantitative Psychology, Statistics, or a related field. They should have a deep familiarity with item response theory, particularly cognitive diagnosis modeling, and a strong statistical and computing background. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required. The appointee will be expected to work under the supervision of Professor Jimmy de la Torre. He/She will be a key researcher associated with the GRF project “Methodological Developments to Enhance Diagnostic Modeling and Scoring of Multicategory Skills”. This project aims to develop methods for empirically validating expert-defined item and skill category associations, more general psychometric models that can accommodate multicategory skills, and computer programs that can implement the proposed models and methods.
