The Role and Your Responsibilities

We are seeking an excellent candidate to join a large multi-disciplinary international and multi institution research group investigating the provision, design, and lived-experience of infill apartments.

The successful applicant will join the research team of the Australian Research Council (ARC) funded Linkage Project Infill Developments: HOME (Housing Outcomes, Metrics and Evaluation).

Skills & Experience Required

The successful applicant will contribute to research that aims to link housing outcomes to metrics and evaluation of housing design in the rapidly growing apartment sector. You will be a qualitative researcher with a strong interest in housing and the built environment, preferably with interests in urban policy, socio-material cultures, urban households and lived experience, and/or urban verticalities. You will be a highly motivated researcher with an emerging research track record.


You will hold a PhD in a relevant social science discipline with experience in qualitative research preferably in housing and household related research.
