  • Salary range: $96,813 - $114,967 per annum (plus super)

About the Job 

The School of Engineering provides education for aviation’s future leaders in piloting and aviation management, with an increasing emphasis on non-technical skills such as human factors, crew resource management, multi crew cooperation and safety management. As the State’s only university to offer aviation at the tertiary level, the School is seeking a teaching focused academic to contribution to the School’s teaching and leadership activities by undertaking high quality teaching, with increasing leadership responsibilities. 

The Lecturer: Aviation will be actively involved in the development and delivery in undergraduate, and potentially Masters, programs in the area of aviation management with particular emphasis on airlines, and support and delivery of Bachelor of Aviation (Pilot) and Bachelor of Aviation Management programs. 

Skills and Experience 

To be successful, you will have a doctoral qualification in an aviation management relevant field, or a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline, or professional/industry experience within aviation including registration with an appropriate professional body. With your ability to undertake teaching duties including the design and preparation of teaching activities and resources, you will be highly organised, independent and work within a team environment.
