RESEARCH ASSOCIATE, Sloan School of Management-MIT Golub Center for Finance and Policy (GCFP), to assist in the preparation of research aimed at informing decisions made at the intersection of finance and policy. Will help to carry out the center’s research program and for ensuring GCFP is well positioned to inform public policy development through high-quality reports and educational initiatives. Responsibilities will include contributing to all phases of the research process, i.e., assisting in methodology development, conducting data gathering and analysis, drafting reports, and assisting in research dissemination and outreach; assisting with the development of high-impact research, modelling, projection, and data development projects involving government finance programs; developing papers, short-form reports (policy briefs), blog posts, and media content; providing input to a wide range of work being conducted at the center; and contributing across the center to carry out a diverse mix of tasks as they arise.

REQUIRED: a bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred) in economics, finance, public policy analysis, or related field (advanced degree preferred); demonstrated ability and training to conduct high-quality, innovative research in economics and finance; excellent communication skills; and the ability to play a key role in the center’s research and work seamlessly with other GCFP researchers, students, and staff.
