Korean Language Lecturer
The Department of East Asian Studies at Princeton University invites applications for a full- or part-time Korean language lecturer position that may become available beginning February 1, 2019 or during the 2019-2020 academic year. Possibility of renewal is contingent upon sufficient course enrollments and satisfactory performance.
We seek candidates with a minimum requirement of a Master's degree in disciplines such as Korean language pedagogy, Korean linguistics, applied linguistics, second language acquisition, foreign language education, or related fields. Ph.D. is preferred. Requirements include native or near-native fluency in Korean and teaching Korean to English-speaking students at the college level.
Applications must include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, statement of teaching interest, contact information for at least three references, and candidates must provide a web link to a 30-50 minute video of the candidate's Korean language teaching. Submission of a writing sample is optional (e.g., publications in Korean or English, a dissertation chapter). Reference letters will be requested after a telephone interview. On-campus interview will be held in November or December. Review of applications will begin immediately and will be conducted until the position is filled.
