Minimum salary for this position is $1,577 per contact hour. The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at the University of Michigan-Flint seeks to hire a Lecturer I to teach up to 4 sections of laboratories for Winter 2019. These laboratory courses would be scheduled as needed based on Winter schedule openings and could be CHM 151 – Chemistry Laboratory for Health Science, CHM 261 – General Chemistry Laboratory, and/or CHM 263 – Introductory Quantitative Analysis Laboratory.

Required Qualifications*

Minimum of a MS in Chemistry or Biochemistry or related science degree with extensive chemistry experience. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an instructional or research laboratory in chemistry or related field is also required.

Desired Qualifications*

Familiarization with academic laboratory operations, safety protocols, and modern equipment and techniques is desirable.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Lecturers Employee Organization, AFL-CIO, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
