Job description

Salary: Grade 7 GBP 33,208 - GBP 40,802 per annum
Mode: Full-Time, Permanent

We seek to appoint a Lecturer with appropriate academic experience and / or practical and professional experience of aviation operations and safety management, aviation finance, or aviation business development and strategy to join our current team. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate and CPD programmes, both in the UK and at locations overseas.

Ideally educated to at least Masters level or with appropriate professional qualifications and equivalent experience. Teaching or training delivery experience is desirable, although the University will provide appropriate professional development for the right candidate. You will be able to demonstrate strong analytical, oral and written communication skills and team work.

You will need to share our passion for delivering a positive student experience that puts excellence in teaching and learning at the heart of everything we do and will be able to demonstrate significant knowledge in your area of specialisation and be able support the school's vision for growth and applied research. This position has arisen owing to the expansion of our international partnerships and supporting the delivery of these programmes, will be an integral part of this role. You must therefore be willing to work flexibly and be prepared to travel worldwide and teach on site at one of our international partners.

Successful candidates will be encouraged to become research active. Experience of working on applied research projects or contracts or participation in professional practice/consultancy will be advantageous.

The position is also open to candidates who wish to focus on teaching practice, development and management.
