This is a unique opportunity for an outstanding candidate to make a significant and key contribution in delivering our ambitious vision and recruitment targets.  With responsibility for leading a large team of nearly 35 staff in making a timely and accurate assessment of all applications and handling enquiries from applicants to the University across UG, PGT and PGR levels of study, in addition to pre-sessional English (PSE), international foundation (IFP) and Degree Apprenticeship programmes, you will directly affect the success of an internationally ranked university.

Highly motivated, astute, strategic and proactive, you have a great track record in delivering for high-profile, large and/or complex organisations. You’ll be an inspiring leader with proven ability to manage teams, projects and resources and in doing so, you’ll continue to build confidence in our Admissions service through demonstrating a keen eye for process enhancement, report writing and employing business intelligence sources to ensure you deliver a competitive, friendly and effective application process. You’ll work with energy and confidence with the ability to bring new and innovative solutions to challenges where there may be no clear precedents. You must be able to work at pace in a fast-moving environment with the ability to spot opportunities early to stay ahead of our competitors.

An expert in your field, you’ll be able to build and maintain strong networks of internal and external stakeholders. Above all, you’ll be able to help lead change in an exciting time of transformation both for the University as a whole and for Global Recruitment and Admissions.

You will have:

  • Strong understanding of process and policy in Higher Education and in customer facing operations
  • Understanding of the potential and use of technology to maximize applicant-related services and to capture, as well as use management information in decision making
  • Excellent report writing and analytical skills
  • Experience of working at a senior level in HE admissions
  • Agile thinker with the ability to use initiative and ingenuity in finding solutions to problems
