We are seeking an innovative psychology academic to join our staff. Our ECU psychology program offers the opportunity for you to work within a range of programs from Undergraduate, Honours and Postgraduate as needed. As our students are the most satisfied of public university’s in Australia the experience of our students is important to us. We seek a staff member to join our team that excels in internal and online modes of delivery, that teaches from a research informed perspective and that understands and can translate current perspectives of psychology to adult learners, in the domain they are interested in.
In addition, ECU has a developing research focus and therefore your role would be important to the continued developing research trajectory for Psychology. We are therefore seeking a highly motivated new staff member with a continuing focus on both teaching and research within a supportive and nurturing environment.
To be considered for this role you will be expected to meet the following criteria:
- A PhD in the field of Psychology;
- Experience in the coordination, development and teaching of units (internal and online) at both undergraduate and/or postgraduate level;
- Demonstrated consistent achievement in applied research leading to grant applications and publications in high quality journals commensurate with Academic Level B;
- Eligibility for, registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and membership of the Australian Psychological Society.
You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry and Personal Excellence.

This full time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $97,959 - $115,578 (ALEVB) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
