The School of Fashion and Textiles is a tertiary environment dedicated to transforming the landscape of Fashion and Textiles through the scholarship of change and active industry engagement. The School of Fashion and Textiles offers a diverse suite of programs over the spectrum of fashion and textile practices in design, technology and merchandising which strengthens the school's ability to operate as a leading global player.

You will provide original, innovative and distinguished contributions to the School's programs, advancing scholarly, research and professional capabilities at a national and international level. You will make a significant contribution to teaching and learning in the discipline with the aim of improving learning outcomes for students. Your strong leadership skills combined with high level interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills and your strong track record in research, will ensure your success.

As the successful applicant you will undertake responsibilities as the Associate Dean, Research & Innovation, for the first three years of your appointment. You will provide strategic and scholarly leadership for program planning, performance management and renewal, as well as oversight of academic quality and standards for Higher Education programs. You will be a member of the School Executive and will work closely with the Dean of School and College Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research & Innovation on program management matters, including the management of the program annual review process. A completed PhD in a relevant discipline is mandatory.
