The new Hub will focus on teaching / capacity building and research in the field of integrated medicine and interdisciplinary sciences for health and social care. It is a School led initiative to increase capacity in data sciences, public health and integrated medicine through increasing teaching and research opportunities across all three Faculties and external stakeholders.

Links with clinical specialities and disciplines are well formed to facilitate the right research questions are answered, research-led teaching and training activities are co-created and capacity building is undertaken. The strong links across the University will be used to co-create research-led teaching and training activities.

A key focus of these posts will be to lead and develop research grants with partners in healthcare sciences related to the work of the Hub. You will also lead on elements of the teaching strategy for the Hub and coordinate impact cases based on the work delivered. In addition, you will be expected to support research-led teaching across the range of courses being developed by the Hub.

You will need a PhD in a related field. You should have experience of devising innovative solutions for research projects, including experience of writing grant proposals. A strong track record of peer-reviewed publications, experience of Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) activities and the ability to lecture and teach at a high level are all essential.

Please note that we are also advertising for a teaching focused Lecturer post to be part of the same I3HS Hub team – see advert here: https://www.jobs.manchester.ac.uk/displayjob.aspx?jobid=16302
