Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Biomaterials/Tissue Engineering

The candidate will be joining the UQ School of Dentistry (Herston Campus) into a dynamic and motivated research team. The school of Dentistry has a long and proud tradition of 81 years of strength in dental education and research, and attracts high achieving students nationally and internationally. UQ is a leading source of expertise in the local, national and international dental community and has been a key contributor to achieving effective solutions to contemporary issues and challenges. The School has strong collaborations within and outside the dental profession.
Research within the School is focused on a number of themes, and crosses a range of areas from laboratory based research through to technologies applied in clinical practice and dental public health.
The successful candidates will join a team of motivated scientists focused on additive manufacturing for regenerative medicine. The successful appointee will have to develop 3D-printed scaffold for Scapholunate interosseus ligament regeneration. The successful candidate will work closely with other senior staff in the school and in collaboration with other faculties, institutes and universities.
The successful applicants will have completed (or submitted) a PhD in Biomaterials/ Tissue Engineering or related field, and possess skills and knowledge in the area of additive manufacturing and regenerative medicine. The successful applicant will have excellent problem solving skills as well as good organisational and communication skills. Furthermore, the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and supervise HDR students is essential.

This is a full-time fixed term appointment at Academic level A. The remuneration package will be in the range $66,283.50- $89,285.83 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $77,551.69- $104,464.42 p.a.).
