The Opportunity

The Bariatric Surgery Registry (BSR) Research Fellow will be responsible for undertaking research projects related to Patient Reported Outcome Measures within the Registry construct. Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) are new outcome measures that the BSR will be introducing to better assess the impact of these procedures on patient’s quality of life.

The Research Fellow will be responsible for ensuring that all research is conducted to the highest ethical standards, at all times complying with Australian Privacy Legislation. Whilst the expectation is that the incumbent will drive one of the current projects within the registry in the first instance, in time it is hoped that the successful applicant will attract research funding for ongoing projects. The Research Fellow will also have a role in the provision of reports arising from Registry data.

At Monash University, we are committed to being a Child Safe organisation. Some positions at the University will require the incumbent to hold a valid Working with Children Check.

Your application should include a one-page cover letter that describes your interest and experience, along with your CV. Further, applications are required to address the Key Selection Criteria listed in the position description. Please refer to "How to apply for Monash Jobs".
