Surrey Business School is a mid-sized business school with over 100 academic staff members from around the globe, and a highly cohesive and collegial atmosphere. It has been growing strongly, both in terms of size, and in terms of the quality and impact of its work in both teaching and research. The School runs a full slate of programmes including undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA programmes, as well as a PhD programme. Programmes are renowned for their quality in terms of intellectual rigor, student experience, and employability.

The programme portfolio includes four undergraduate programmes, with the Business Management programme also offering specialised tracks in Entrepreneurship, Human Resources Management and Marketing. The candidate will also have strong people management skills, as s/he will interact frequently with colleagues at all levels in Surrey Business School, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences in which it sits, and the University at large. They are looking for a person with significant work experience in the UK higher education sector, ideally in business/management or an adjacent field, who also has an in-depth understanding of the international context in which business schools operate.
