Grade 7 - £34,189 to £38,460 per annum, dependent on experience
The criminology subject group in the Department of Law and Criminology is a diverse mix of colleagues with a broad range of academic and professional practice experience. The primary focus is on the applied nature of criminology underpinned by strong theoretical knowledge, the development and application of research skills and the enhancement of graduate attributes.
As a lecturer you will make an immediate contribution to the department teaching research methods inclusive of mixed methods approaches. Teaching duties will include undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, assessment, student support provision and other related duties. You will be expected to contribute to research and other forms of scholarly activity as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will also teach across the desistance and recovery subject area.
You must have a good honours degree in a relevant subject and experience of teaching across the criminology subject area. You must also have knowledge and expertise of desistance and recovery and experience of academic and pastoral care to students.
