As part of this 2025 strategy a major investment is currently underway with over $200million being spent on the development of a new Chemical Engineering and Chemistry building which will be completed in 2019. This state of the art building design will create a dynamic environment which will enhance the research and education outcomes for all.
The School of Chemical Engineering has been delivering excellent teaching and research for over sixty-five years. The research clusters in the school broadly span the areas of Energy, Food and Health, Environmental Technology, Macromolecular and Interfacial Engineering, and Product and Process Design. It offers degrees in Food Science (Technology and Nutrition), Chemical Engineering and Chemical Product Engineering. With 11 research centres covering Energy and Resources, Water and Health including Greenhouse gas technologies, Membranes, Nanomedicine and Advanced macromolecular design.
UNSW is currently seeking a new Head of the School of Chemical Engineering. The appointee will ideally be an outstanding researcher with demonstrated academic impact in one or more of the School’s key research disciplines and who has the leadership acumen to lead a large and complex academic unit.
