Assistant Professor of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology
School Faculty of Arts and Sciences
Department/Area Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology
Harvard’s Department of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology (HSCRB http://hscrb.harvard.edu/faculty), a joint department bridging the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and Harvard Medical School, is currently recruiting tenure-track faculty to join its multi-disciplinary research and teaching faculty. Candidates holding a PhD and/or MD, with a track-record of significant research accomplishments relevant to the Department’s mission are invited to apply. We are particularly interested in recruiting candidates investigating basic and applied questions in immunology and immunological aspects of tissue regeneration. The successful candidate will benefit from a robust community of immunologists within and outside the department, and will be located at Harvard Medical School within the Department of Immunology. Applicants engaged in the broader fields emphasized by the HSCRB department, including regeneration, stem/progenitor biology, tissue repair, and related topics, are also encouraged.
New faculty will benefit from state-of-the-art research facilities, strong institutional and departmental commitment to career development, and a vibrant, collaborative research enterprise that brings together fundamental biology and medical science to create unique scientific and educational opportunities. Appointments will be made at the Assistant Professor level, although other levels may be considered, if appropriate, based on the applicant’s experience and accomplishments. The appointee will teach and advise at the undergraduate and graduate levels. We strongly encourage applications from women and minority candidates. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Doctorate or terminal degree in an applicable field required by the time the appointment begins.
Strong research record and a commitment to undergraduate teaching and graduate training.
