We are seeking a Researcher to support the development of methods for qualifying food ingredients as pharmaceuticals using a variety of bioanalytical and mass spectrometry methods through an industrially-funded contract with the start-up company Reacta Biotech Ltd. This includes refinement of methods profiling/quantification of peanut allergens in peanut flour ingredients, and foods used for double blind placebo controlled food challenge meals for diagnosis of peanut allergy.

Based in the Food and Molecular Allergology team led by Professor Clare Mills in the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology (MIB) you will have a PhD in biochemistry or biological chemistry or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience, be an effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, and will be able to work on their own initiative or as part of a team.
