Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Taxation/Accounting
- Play a key role in teaching and research of taxation accounting
- Full time, continuing role based at our Melbourne (Bundoora) campus
- Role will be appointed as level B or C commensurate with relevant experience.

A Level B teaching and research academic is expected to develop curriculum, teach and undertake research or other scholarly work relevant to the development of their discipline or professional field.
A Level C teaching and research academic in addition, will normally play a major role or provide a significant degree of leadership in scholarly, research and/or professional activities relevant to the profession.
About the role
In this role you will contribute towards the enhancement of the department’s reputation through improved teaching, research and partnerships with professional bodies and industries. Balancing your teaching and research, you will contribute towards the department’s ongoing program innovation which seeks to align subjects with market demands, in relation to both curricula and delivery modes.
We delivery to students through a commitment to embracing new technologies and innovation in delivery. You will work with colleagues to reshape learning and teaching, redefining the student experience through new technology, stronger collaborations and increased flexibility. Knowledge of current trends in the accounting profession and in particular, specialised knowledge around taxation accounting in Australia are critical.
Skills & Experience
To be considered for this role you have completed a PhD in Accounting or a similar discipline. You must have a strong track record of curriculum development and teaching and have the capacity to engage with innovations related to cross-campus teaching. A demonstrated track record in undertaking impactful research in a relevant field is essential and you will have evidence of quality publications. You will be capable of supervising or co-supervising students. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential as is the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
