The Department of Built Environment within the Faculty of Engineering & Technology seeks to appoint a Principal Lecturer/Programme Leader, with significant professional experience in the field of Building Surveying or FM. Experience within associated disciplines such as construction, project management or engineering will also be considered.

You will be expected to make broad contributions to the academic work of the Department of Built Environment. The role will lead on the delivery of programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level in the fields of Property, Surveying, FM and related fields and the appointee will line manage colleagues within the subject team. Contribution to the research activity of the department will be expected in collaboration with existing research colleagues in areas associated with Construction, Property, FM and surveying. In addition your will contribute to the development and delivery of collaborative and outreach and engagement initiatives for construction and property professionals as well as interdisciplinary project areas. These initiatives will be based in the UK and overseas. The appointed person is likely to have a background in property, surveying, construction or commercial property management.
