The School of Media and Communication seeks a Lecturer, Industry Fellow (Advertising) who will contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the Advertising discipline area. The Industry Fellow will be responsible for carrying out teaching activities and for maintaining and advancing research and/or professional capabilities relevant to the creative advertising discipline.
The position requires demonstrated ability to teach in the Bachelor of Communication (Advertising) program and significant industry experience in the practice of creative advertising. Applicants with expertise in copywriting and/or art direction are encouraged to apply. International experience is highly desirable, as is digital creative advertising experience and depth knowledge of production processes.
The successful applicant should be skilled as a teacher, knowledgeable about the advertising and communication industry and demonstrate an ability to develop and maintain advertising industry networks. The candidate should possess a demonstrated commitment to undertaking research projects and a collaborative work ethic.
Candidates will have demonstrated level of excellence in the field of Advertising as evidenced by advertising industry awards and a body of published creative advertising work.
Qualifications and/or Equivalence to Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) 8 and demonstrated creative advertising industry experience within the previous two years.
