York St John University is an ambitious, modern University located in the heart of historic York, with an exciting new campus at the Barbican in London. The principal purpose of the post is to represent the University internationally, promote our brand and raise our profile in pursuit of international student recruitment targets. The role will involve promoting UG and PG degrees, short courses, summer schools, developing international partnerships, identifying opportunities for Trans National Education, staff and student exchange, and research collaborations on behalf of the Academic Schools.
This role forms part of the International Student Recruitment Team within the Student Recruitment, Marketing and Admissions Directorate. The principal remit of the International Student Recruitment Team is to increase the number of overseas and EU fee paying students at York St John University and contribute to the diversity of the international student body on our York and London campuses.
Working with the Deputy Director (Student Recruitment), and the Pro Vice-Chancellor (International), the post holder will be responsible for the management and development of European student recruitment to both campuses. This will involve identifying market opportunities, developing recruitment strategies designed to grow the University’s business in the designated markets. This role will also involve working closely with the Heads of School to develop and maintain their international partnership and student recruitment activities.
