The Department of Banking and Finance was established in 2014 and has its roots in the David Syme School of Banking and Finance. Monash Business School is seeking to recruit top academic faculty in banking, finance, and all Business School disciplines. We have Level B and C academic roles in the Department of Banking and Finance, one of 7 departments within the Monash Business School.

We invite applicants to become a part of our success, and contribute to our exceptional research and education portfolio. As a successful candidate, you will contribute to (and for Level C, provide leadership to) teaching and research activities in the Finance discipline.

The successful candidate(s) will work with the Head of the Department and other academic staff members to develop and implement the department’s strategic plan, to enhance the teaching and research goals and be responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. The role may also have responsibilities of course coordination, teaching-related administration duties and seminar coordination.

Candidates will have completed a PhD in relevant field and have a demonstrated ability and clear commitment to teaching and research excellence. We expect that the successful applicants’ research and teaching will reflect the latest theoretical, quantitative and experimental advances in their field.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
