Nurse Manager Operations– Duke University Hospital 

Duke University Health System- Duke University Hospital seeks to hire an experienced Registered Nurse who will embrace our mission of Advancing Health Together.

Department Profile:

The 2F/2G Duke South Clinic is comprised of Advanced Heart and Advanced Lung failure patients. We provide care to the pre and post-transplant, post-operative and general pulmonary cardiology outpatient visits.

Job Summary:

Manage and supervise functions of assigned patient care area on a 24 hour basis; ensure effective delivery of clinical patient care and compliance with administrative and clinical policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience Required: 

  • 3 years of nursing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Licensure, Certification or Registration Required:

  • Current registration with North Carolina State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse OR current compact RN licensure to practice in the state of North Carolina required.
  • BLS (or higher) certification required.
  • Professional specialty certification (preferred).

Education

Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required. Master's degree in Nursingstrongly preferred.

Experience

Three years of experience in inpatient nursing is required.

Degrees, Licensures, Certifications

Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of NorthCarolina. BCLS certification required.Nurses hired into leadership positions must obtain a leadershipcertification within three months of hire. New nurse leaders who areineligible to sit for an exam because they have not been working in aleadership role for the minimum amount of time required must completetheir certification within three months of becoming eligible.
