1.0 FTE MSW social work position in the Neurology Clinic on site at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.
The ideal candidate will have experience and expertise assessing and providing interventions for psychosocial issues commonly seen in a pediatric population who often have multiple co-morbidities.
Master's degree in Social Work from a school accredited by the Council of Social Work Education is necessary. Must have current clinical license to practice social work in the State of Michigan. Clinical practice concentration and field practicum or recent work experience in a hospital required.
Senior Level Requirement
Advancement through the career ladder at the Expert or Clinical Scholar Level is required for placement in the MSW Senior Classification.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in medical settings working with families and children around issues of chronic illness, loss, adjustment to illness and disability, learning/school issues and locating appropriate community resources. It is also essential to work well as a member of a multidisciplinary team in a fast paced environment. Experience working with pediatric patients, their families, and young adults is preferred.
This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. Advancement through the career ladder at the Expert or Clinical Scholar Level is required for placement in the MSW Senior Classification
