About the opportunity

The School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Mechatronic Engineering at the University of Sydney is seeking applications for several academic positions at all levels and in all areas of Biomedical Engineering. A preference for candidates in biomechanics, biomechatronics, proteomics/genomics, lab on chip, biomedical instrumentation, neuro-engineering but candidates with strong track records in all areas of biomedical engineering are encouraged to apply to help broaden our research profile in this area. The School is especially interested in candidates who increase the diversity of its academic staff profile.

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Successful applicants should expect an internationally competitive salary, a generous start-up package and a first-class research environment.

About you

Successful candidates will be expected to develop an independent research program, making internationally recognized advances on problems of importance, engage in collaborations within and outside the University, participate in both undergraduate and graduate teaching and curriculum development, and contribute to the working of the School and the University.

Term and remuneration

Successful candidates will be offered a continuing (permanent) appointment, subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation and confirmation period for new appointees. A competitive remuneration and startup package will be negotiated dependant of level on appointment.
