The Role and Your Responsibilities:
Due to sustained growth in our social economy related programs the School is requiring persons to undertake the roles of a VE Program Manager and VE Program Coordinator
VE Program Manager, Youth Work, Financial Counselling and Koori Industry programs (x1)
You will be required to manage the educational and/or business activities to ensure that the RMIT Strategic and Business Plans are successfully implemented within the School applicable to Youth Work, Financial Counselling and Koori Industry programs. You will also lead the design, development, delivery and evaluation of innovative teaching materials, products and services to meet the needs of enterprises, industry and students.
VE Program Coordinator, Community Services (x1)
As VE Program Coordinator, you will be mainly responsible for the co-ordination of the design, development, delivery and evaluation of innovative, customised, high quality vocational education and training. Coordination of staff resources and student administration of the program/s in their areas of responsibility will also form part of this role.
Skills & Experience Required:
For the VE Program Manager it is essential that you have the ability to effectively lead and manage a team of staff in the design, implementation and evaluation of innovative teaching materials, products and services applicable to Youth Work, Financial Counselling and Koori Industry programs. You will ensure that current and contemporary vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.
The VE Program Coordinator will have the capacity to coordinate the work of staff in the development and implementation of Community Services Vocational Education programs in the University, industry or within the community. You will bring with you educational leadership skills and be able to use effective communication, presentation, counselling and interpersonal skills to to promote teaching and learning. You will have significant teaching experience in a relevant area and demonstrate the use of effective innovative and flexible teaching methods.
Both roles will require you to effectively coordinate curriculum areas and work effectively in the teaching team to deliver distinctive and leading education and training. You will work closely with related industry groups as well as developing strong internal relationships with other areas within the university.
- To be considered for this position, it is essential that candidates possess a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (TAE40110).
- For appointment at a classification of Teacher 3.1 or above, the appointee must hold a professional teaching qualification, defined as a qualification at Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 5 Diploma or above which includes supervised teaching practice and studies in teaching methodology or equivalent qualification accepted by the University.
