Applications are invited for appointment as Non-Tenure Track Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Practice in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, to commence as soon as possible on a fixed-term basis for two to three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance. Fractional appointment may be considered for the suitable candidate.
Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong, and a higher professional qualification of Specialty Fellowship of the relevant Hong Kong colleges under the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine or equivalent. Possession of a licence to practise medicine in Mainland China is an advantage. Experience in preimplantation genetic testing and surgery (including robotic surgery) is preferred. Applicants should have at least 15 years' working and managing experience in clinical assisted reproduction. They should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, the capacity and potential in conducting basic research and clinical trial in reproductive medicine, and the ability to contribute to the enhancement and development of courses for the Faculty in the broad spectrum of medical and health sciences education. Direct communication with patients is required and the languages employed are English, Cantonese and Putonghua. The appointee is required to travel to the Reproductive Medicine Center at the University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital, Shenzhen, and is expected to develop the clinical service of the Centre.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 15% of basic salary. A monthly cash allowance will be offered to the successful candidate. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
