BUSINESS LOGISTICS SPECIALIST, Information Systems and Technology (IS&T), to support the decision-making and oversight related to the fulfillment of requests for goods and services including warehousing, distribution, and asset management. Will assist in deciding upon effective sourcing of IT products and develop and manage the process of identifying, evaluating, and selecting appropriate service providers; articulating service level agreements (SLAs); and managing strategic assets (i.e., physical inventory, virtual inventory, licenses, contracts). Will also serve as the primary interface between vendors/service providers and users, coordinate communication between vendors and IS&T, and monitor and ensure that the benefits anticipated and promised are delivered; and initiate and interpret vendor contracts for IS&T, working closely with the Institute’s central offices (Procurement, Office of the General Council, Accounts Payable) to ensure that contract terms and conditions are met while establishing and ensuring service provider direction and priorities.

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree and one year of relevant experience or four years’ relevant experience in business, contracts, information technology, or related field; working knowledge of information systems, financial and accounting systems, and business functions and processes; effective oral and written communication skills that support transactional and administrative activities; demonstrated organizational skills for effectively multitasking responsibilities within necessary deadlines; initiative necessary to prioritize responsibilities and work independently on a routine basis; working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel; experience in a shipping/receiving environment and working knowledge of material handling equipment; ability to lift and carry a minimum of 25 lbs. on a routine basis and occasionally weights of up to 50 lbs.; and a valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle report.
