The major responsibilities include ordering lab supplies and general lab organization. In addition, some mouse breeding and colony management will be needed.
Depending on the experience and the interests of the Research Specialist, additional activities can include actively participating in ongoing research projects and running experiments. These activities can range from using techniques such as PCR, RNA isolation and analysis, neuronal cell culture, chromatin-immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence and microscopy, mouse behavioral testing, next generation sequencing sample preparation, and more.
BA /BS in a related area and 0 to 1 year of experience or and equivalent combination of education and experience required. Proficient in Microsoft office suite applications. Prior wet lab research experience in molecular biology techniques, mouse handling, and cell culture preferred.
