The Department of Sociology and Policy seeks to appoint a full-time Lectureship from 1 February 2019 (or as soon as possible thereafter). 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving Department within an ambitious and  multidisciplinary School with an established reputation for excellence in teaching and research. Strong candidates from any sub-field of Sociology are encouraged to apply, including those able to contribute to the development of Department’s existing teaching and research focuses on Equality, Diversity, Social Justice, and Critical Policy Analysis. Applications for candidates with quantitative research skills and/or the sociology of crime and deviance are particularly welcome. 

Candidates will have a completed doctorate in a relevant social science discipline, experience of and strong commitment to teaching and learning, and a demonstrable and developing track record of high quality publications and research.
