The Home Recruitment and Conversion Team is responsible for the coordination, planning and delivery of key recruitment and widening participation outreach initiatives at the University to support the attraction and recruitment of the best students regardless of background, at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Such initiatives include the University Open Days, Offer Holder Visit Days, attendance at school and college events across the country as well as widening participation outreach set out in the University’s Access Agreement.

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering and developing a programme of events for applicants who have received an offer from the University, allowing the offer holders and their guests to explore the University and meet current students and academics. These events are part of our conversion activities to ensure the best students make Bristol their firm choice. The post holder will also lead on the delivery of a programme of digital events aimed prospective students worldwide.

This role will include liaising with key stakeholders within the Directorate and across the University, planning and scheduling virtual and physical events, providing training to staff across the institution as well as reporting on impact.

The role will work closely with the Publications, Customer Relationship Management, Faculty Student Marketing and Digital Communications teams to ensure that all content is relevant and accessible to targeted prospective student audiences.

The successful applicant will have proven experience of planning and organising large scale events and activities. Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills are essential to the success of this role. The ability to communicate and influence a variety of stakeholders will be a key requirement as well as experience of working with a range of digital programmes include CRM systems.
